Maybe even dozens of times.
You've prepared for an appointment. Written things down so you don't forget. Gathered your energy for the journey there and back.
You explain everything – the fatigue, the crashes, the way your body stopped responding the way it used to. You describe what it actually costs you to be sitting in that room.
And you leave with nothing. Or worse – with the suggestion that you need to push through it. Move more. Worry less.
Sound… all-too familiar?
There's nothing harder than knowing your limits intimately – and sitting across from someone who doesn't believe those limits are real.
It can make you feel like you're managing this entirely alone. Like the gap between how you're living now and how you were living before is just something you have to accept.
The reassuring thing?
You're not alone.
I speak to many people with ME/CFS and Long COVID who are exhausted by the diagnostic odyssey. Who have done the research, joined the forums, tried the protocols – and still don't have a clear picture of what's driving their specific pattern, or what to do about it within their actual capacity.
It's the reason why, as a functional medicine health coach with a personal history of recovery from ME/CFS & Long COVID (the list of diagnosis could continue), I've been so determined to offer something different – a session that starts from belief, applies a functional medicine lens to your full picture, and gives you somewhere concrete to go next.
But before you can become one of the people who looks back and says 'that's when everything shifted', I need to clear a few things up.
